Ronsons Audio Video traces it’s roots in the Home, Mobile, Marine & Commercial A/V market back 50+ years. The present store location is next to the original shop which was called “It’s Hear”. Back in those days, picture tube TV’s, 8-track car audio with 25-watt car audio systems, reel to reel tape machines, turntables & “ghetto blasters” were cutting edge technologies. A lot has changed.
Audio has progressed from LP, to cassette, to CD, to digital, and believe it or not, back to LPs. TV's have transitioned from tubes, to flatscreens of ever more astounding picture quality, while antennas gave way to cable TV, and then satellite recievers. VCR’s were once the cutting edge, then DVD, Blu-Ray, and now streamed digital content in 4K and Netflix. Mobile & marine components have advanced from the 8-track, to satellite radio with digital content and audio power rivaling some of the best home systems. Remember when you had to get up and change the channel on your TV (or maybe you don't, trust us that was a real thing). Today, with home automation, you can have total control of your home, at the touch of of a screen, even from across the globe on your your smart phone. Technology – NEVER SLEEPS!

Steve Smith is part owner of Ronsons Audio Video. He has been involved in the electronics industry since 1978, and brings 40 years of knowledge and experience to the job. Steve attended Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, graduating as an Electronics Engineering Technician on the Dean’s Honor List. An avid outdoorsman & boater, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and family and in his spare time can be found at the lake or in the North country enjoying those pursuits.
Simon Lichach is part owner of Ronsons Audio Video. Soon after graduating high school in 1994, he began his 12v installation career. With 25 years of experience, Simon leads the design and installation team for Home Automation, Commercial and Marine & Mobile AV. Like Steve, Simon is and avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing and sledding in the winter and boating in the summer. Family time is a priority and his spare time is spent with his wife and two young children.
